3-5 year olds and their grown-ups will enjoy The Very Ready Reader, a research-based curriculum developed by The World of Eric Carle. Longview Public Library is proud to be an early adopter for this program, which will include a snack, music, sensory and creative activities, trained readers and parent/care-giver handouts, including take-home activities, booklists, a book bag and bookmark. Snacks will be served at 3 p.m., supervised active play, creative arts projects and music will precede the 4-4:30 p.m. storytime. After storytime, children have free play time or can finish projects. The library closes at 5 p.m. on Thursdays.
