At your request, Library staff will provide you with a receipt that you may fill out for tax purposes. The Library staff is not qualified to determine the value of your donation. It will be up to you to assign a value for tax purposes.

What does the Longview Public Library do with donations?

All donations are greatly appreciated. Some donated materials are added to the Library's collections. Magazines are offered free to the public (after identifying address labels are removed or covered). Anything that cannot be added to the collection is sold at the Friends of the Library book sales or on the Internet. The money raised by sales goes to fund programming and to purchase other library materials.
