The Library's offering of materials and services is guided by community and society needs, First Amendment rights and principles of public librarianship.

We are committed to responsible stewardship of public money in selecting resources, hiring personnel, and maintaining the historic facility that comprises the Longview Public Library.

The Library continues to seek out and support cooperative efforts to advance library service in the region. This commitment is limited only by the Library's responsibility to serve the people of the City of Longview.
